Polyamide 6 (PA6) is one of the most frequently used engineering plastics. The material possesses excellent processing properties in combination with good general and thermal performance. PA6 is excellently resistant to oils, greases and aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, as well as to most halogenated hydrocarbons. It is not resistant to acids and alkalis. The UV stability of PA6 is better than that of most other engineering polymers. Qualities treated with carbon exhibit even better UV stability.
